The Fab Lab House by IAAC is a breakthrough in the integration of solar systems. It features an organic shape, some hi-tech features and a very affordable construction cost. The house is mostly done of wood, plywood and other materials that are available globally, light, and manageable. It not only features a rounded shape that allows for maximum internal volume with minimal exterior surface but is elevated off the ground upon three ‘legs’, in order to create a space under the house for some outdoor activities. The Solar House can comfortably accomodate a family of 4 within 75 m2 and this makes it possible to fabricate and build the entire dwelling under fifteen days. It also generates three times the energy it consumes and also houses an orchard in order to produce food.
